RFIDdirect has over 25 year’s experience in helping companies implement and deploy RFID solutions. Beyond solving RFID problems or optimising current RFID infrastructures, we can also design and manufacture bespoke RFID tags unique to your application. All our products are RoHS and REACH certified.

RFID Antennas Design and Tag Manufacture
For many years, RFIDdirect has worked closely with customers in identifying their specific needs and creating a lasting solution for them with RFID. Among key problems identified with our customers, have been a wrongly suggested or inadequate RFID tags. We have often seen customers select the RFID tag based upon the best read range shown on the spec sheet but this is entirely misleading. In order to tackle this problem, we have frequently had to design a unique RFID tag antenna, encased with high durability and robust material suitable for their application. These tags are tested and produced by our partners in the EU and Asia to determine which RFID antenna and microchip combination is the best for the solution. If you have also tried different high performance tags but not getting the required results, please task us with providing you with the right RFID tag.
Site Visits
Do you have an RFID solution in place but it isn’t working as efficiently as expected? Do you know if the correct RFID tag has been supplied or if the antennas have been positioned correctly? We know how frustrating it can be when you have been promised an ‘out of the box solution’ only to find a part has been incorrectly supplied and is not functioning. RFIDdirect offers consultancy and listens carefully to the customer needs, going through their process flow management and delivering a proof of concept, first, to demonstrate the working solution. If you have a solution installed and its not delivering we can also visit the site to analyse problems. Alternatively, if you are thinking about introducing RFID inventory solutions or production management into your infrastructure, we can survey the site, give recommendations on the positioning of antennas, reader choice, RFID tag type and deliver the whole solution for you.

Testing
RFID tags are not ‘one-size-fits-all’- even if the specification on the paper suggests that the tag has the best performance and at a cost-effective price, this doesn’t mean that it should be your final choice. The product’s material, local environments, weather and temperature can all easily influence the communication between the reader and the tag which is key for the RFID system to work effectively. RFIDdirect understands that trying to find and isolate a problem can be very time consuming, in addition to planning for consultants and experts to visit. With that in mind, RFIDdirect has a test facility where we can replicate your setup and run tests to check performance, read range and best position of your equipment, saving you time and sparing you the disruption of a project being delayed due to an RFID technical problem.
Printing and Programming
Each RFID tag has an EPC code which will be used to link the tag and the information from a database. The EPC code is scanned with an RFID reader and then assigned to information on a database. The other option is to populate your database with information and self-generated EPC codes and program them to the RFID tag. In order to accurately encode and print onto RFID tags and labels, RFIDdirect offers a Bureau service which looks at your label specs, the information to code and then creates your bespoke programmed RFID tag.
