Your software development journey starts here.
At RFIDdirect, we are more than just a RFID supplier. We work with companies around the world delivering RFID based tracking systems, helping businesses to improve their efficiency – bringing management together with the factory floor. We provide more than just numbers; we’re providing real insight into what is going on.
RFIDdirect is trusted to bring excellence to every solution and a true level of quality output and knowledge; our MD has sat on the international standards board which ratified the original RFID standards – so we are known as being a company of real expertise.
RFIDdirect is looking for a talented individual to work with our team and be part of designing, creating, delivering and supporting our solutions.
As part of this opportunity, You are going to receive, not just another software development course, but instead you will gain a full degree with a local university, attending a day every week while being part of the team in RFIDdirect’s offices for the other 4 days – allowing you to gain your degree while still working and earning.
Due to the degree element, there is a fixed minimum term to the apprenticeship, so we are looking for someone who is committed to starting a bright and exciting career with us.
We also believe that developers and their work should not be separate – as part of the apprenticeship, you will also be given a unique opportunity to travel to sites, both in the UK and internationally.
What you’ll cover
Primarily at RFIDdirect we operate in C# and some Java for Android development, working both with software only implementations and with implementations requiring the use of hardware.
Why apply?
We’re dedicated as a business to opportunity and growth; that’s why, right from the start you will be able to earn while you learn and be provided support throughout your time with us. Additionally, you will receive a permanent contract on day one with 25 days’ holiday, a competitive salary, a pension plan and a fully funded degree programme.
Entry requirements
For this opportunity you will need a keen interest in computing and programming; some personal projects showing your interest would be advantageous but not essential. Ideally, you will also have some form of Level 3 or higher qualification in IT or Computer Science.
